HOW TO GET TO BRAČ ISLAND?

Two main ferries sail to the island of Brač:

  • Makarska – Sumartin (Brač) and
  • Split – Supetar (Brač).

The schedule of the ferry lines as well as the prices can be found on the website of Jadrolinija.

  • Total price for the ferry ride will be the sum of the price for your vehicle and price for all people in the vehicle. Babies are probably not charged additionally.
  • You will need to bring a registration license to buy a ferry ticket. If you are renting a car in Croatia, have in mind that using a ferry will usually mean an additional payment for the insurance.
  • Ferry ride from Split to Supetar lasts just under an hour.
  • When arriving at the port in Split just follow the signs on the road that point to your final destination (Supetar). If needed, you can always ask the staff of the port for directions.


WHERE IS THE WEDDING AT?

AND WHAT ARE WE EVEN DOING THERE…

The wedding and celebration will happen in the village of Dol that is located a few kilometers inland, very near the town of Postira.

We have discovered that this whole village looks like a mini open air museum, on top of having beautiful wedding locations. It is definitely a place worth visiting and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we have.

THE CEREMONY

The wedding ceremony begins at 16:15h in the front of a small church called St. Peter’s Church. It is made of stone that dates all the way back to the 11th century. 

The wedding will take place in the garden and not inside of the church. 

Every guest will have their own place to sit, but not assigned. Please let our mothers in the first row. 🙂

Pleasant shade is almost guaranteed here as the whole place is surrounded with pines and the afternoon schedule means that the sun will not be too strong anyways.

Refreshment water will be provided and the whole ceremony with the group photos in the end and a slow walk to the restaurant shouldn’t take more than one hour.

The schedule is dependent on all guests’ punctuality. We kindly ask you to use the option of the organized transport to the venue so we ensure everyone’s on time.

DINNER AND PARTY

The ceremony is followed with a short walk to the restaurant Kaštil Gospodnetić. It is a winery and a museum, as well as a 16th century castle.

The walk will not be long nor demanding, though it is a tiny bit hilly at times. The terrain doesn’t allow walking in high, thin heels so please wear appropriate shoes. You can always change them later in the restaurant. 

After the walk you will have a warm welcome in the restaurant with some drinks for refreshment and a possibility for a short museum tour. Don’t forget – this place is also a winery. 😉

We will make sure that you don’t wait for us for long and our hosts will serve you some finger foods while you wait for us.

  • The dinner starts around 19:00h.
  • Cake and other sweets will be served around 22:00h. We hope that the youngest ones will make it until then.
  • The party has to end at midnight because we cannot have loud music past that time.
  • The ride from the restaurant to your accommodation will be organized in two time slots. We will have more details about this later on.
